COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective Strings (Violin, Viola, Violoncello) Piano Various left hand practices for developing agility, various bowing studies involving different techniques, developing detache and legato techniques, introduction to vibrato technique, performing domestic and international works appropriate to the student’s level. -Guitar Helping students develop their musicianship and find their musical identity. -Baglama To be able to play pieces and etudes in Kurdi, Hicaz and Karcigar makams. -Flute Producing fine sound with the fine intonation on the notes of 3rd octave; using different rhythmical patterns on scales & arpeggios.
Course Content Strings (Violin, Viola, Violoncello) Piano Practices on the first position, applyingvarious bowing techniques, Left hand practices on four strings. -Guitar Studying etudes and other musical pieces from classical guitar repertoire, expressive devices; exploring the ways of using the guitar in general music class. -Baglama Practicing melodies and etudes in Kurdi, Hicaz and Karcigar makams; the use of the left hand thumb. -Flute Producing the notes on the 3rd octave and learning the new finger order; practicing the related exercices & pieces; diatonic scales with 3 accidentals; chromatic scales.
