Course Objective To make students comprehend the textuality criteria, text production stages, communication schema and parts of rhetoric of the text used as the basic unit in interpersonal communication.
Course Content Basic principles and concepts of textlinguistics (sentence, proposition, utterance; text and textuality criteria: producer/text and receiver-centered), text type, discourse and text type classifications; linguistic aspects of text types; narrative discourse, narrative texts and language transfer; word-action theory.
