Course Objective The aim of this course is to teach prospective teachers' characteristics of Turkish children outside of Turkey, their language learning needs; to enable them to have information about the methods, techniques, materials and measurement-evaluation tools that they can use while teaching Turkish to Turkish children living abroad.
Course Content Turkish migration abroad, effects of migration; education status of Turkish children abroad; the legal basis of mother tongue education abroad and Turkish and Turkish culture courses abroad; bilingualism, bilingualism and its types; theories, methods and techniques in teaching Turkish to two languages; Turkish and Turkish culture course teaching programs; Activity and material design for Turkish and Turkish culture.
