Course Objective To provide students with basic concepts related to mathematics teaching, number concept and word problem teaching.
Course Content Objective and basic principles of mathematics teaching; The history of mathematics education (in the world and Turkey); teaching and learning strategies to be used in teaching mathematics; elementary school mathematics Scope, purpose and features of the program; major learning theories and mathematics learning related to; important skills in mathematics education, associations, representations, communication, reasoning, problem solving (strategies, stages, problem types, etc.); Using information technologies in children the development of the number concept (pre-count improvements, one-to-one mapping, cardinal value, separation, comparison, equivalence, scarcity, multiplicity, etc.); step value, formation of natural numbers and structural features; arithmetic operations, related topics in primary school mathematics course program, achievements and examples of suitable activities therefor.
