Course Objective The objective of the Science Education is to stimulate the natural curiosity of the students to science and natural laws. This course provides theoretical and practical knowledge for science education in early childhood classrooms. Appropriate teaching methods and instruction materials are presented in the classroom. Children are encouraged to observe and ask questions. They are given opportunities to experiment with a variety of materials to discover changes. .
Course Content The importance of the science and nature in early childhood education, the methods for teaching basic concepts and scientific thinking of science in early childhood education, developing materials for these methods, planning activities and practicing them, principles of the science education in the early childhood education programs .
