COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective During the course, students learn what drama is, basic concepts of drama, history of drama, differences between drama and theatre, play, psychodrama etc., stages of drama, drama techniques, drama in practice, benefits of drama, using drama as a teaching method in curriculum. .
Course Content Description of educational drama; its difference from pedagogic drama, creative drama, drama-play, and drama; the history of drama performances with children; the essentials of educational drama and its demonstration order; the classification of drama in accordance with age groups and demonstration areas; educational drama environment and the qualifications of teachers; special methods in educational drama; evaluation of educational drama; suitable educational drama examples for the aims of content areas and the development of new examples.
