Course Objective It is aimed to support the professional development of teacher candidates on how to integrate technology into early childhood classrooms. Awareness of the importance and necessity of technology in early childhood; raising awareness of the safe use of technology in the classroom and at home; Planning and evaluating educational practices that can be used in early childhood classrooms are among the main aims of the course.
Course Content In this course; what is technology, basic concepts in technology use, what should be considered and principles to be considered in technology integration in early childhood education, how technology should be used in early childhood education classrooms (using technology for creative expression, using technology to support inquiry, using technology to document and communicate , using technology to develop curriculum resources), technology use items in classrooms (audiobooks, e-books, computers and tablets, voice keyboards, coding and coding tools, mobile applications, web 2 tools, cartoons, movies and animations, etc.), reflection and evaluation of technology usage items on plans are included.
