COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective To reveal the importance of social-emotional skills on the principle of recognizing, supporting and developing social-emotional skills in children and to teach that social skills can be developed in children with educational programs, to teach the roles of stakeholders in the child's social and emotional development by focusing on the principles and techniques of the developmentally appropriate guidance approach, and to teach the National Association for the Education of Young Children. It is aimed to plan activities in line with the ethical standards of NAEYC.
Course Content Research shows that developing social and emotional skills can positively affect student achievement and success in school and later in life. In this course, practices will be developed in the light of relevant research and theories in order to provide children with positive and sustainable social skills. Participants will develop practical examples to teach and support the development of children's self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making skills.
