Course Objective During the course, students learn the concept of mental health, the importance of mental health in school, the definition of normal-abnormal behaviors, definition, and causes of various childhood psychopathologies and adaptation disorders.
Course Content Definition of mental health, importance, the historical development of mental health, concerning theory with mental health, the specialty of having mental health person and haven’t mental health person, behavioral and congruity problems apparent in the child (stuttering, mutism, enuresis, encopresis, finger suck, nail-biting, aggression, jealousy, tics, obstinacy, insomnia, the anomaly of nutrition habit, fright, hyperactivity, school phobia, burglary, lying) Diagnosis and treatment, affect of special events to child mental health.

4To describe the differences between fundamental theoretical approaches to the causes and treatment of behavioral and emotional problems.
5To describe the evaluation methods for behavioral and emotional problems of children.
6To describe the symptoms of behavioral and emotional problems in children
7To explain the causes of behavioral and emotional problems in children.
8To explain medical and psychological treatment methods for behavioral and emotional problems of children.
9To discuss the suggestions made for families and teachers about the prevention and remediation of behavioral and emotional disorders in children.
10To apply the principles and methods of applied behavioral analysis for the management of children’s behavioral problems in the classroom.
