Course Objective The aim of this course is to have knowledge, skills, and awareness about the definition of communication, its content, the importance and place of communication in human relations, and to develop effective communication skills both in education and in social life.
Course Content 1. Definition, purpose, and importance of communication 2. Importance and development of communication in human relations 3. Effective communication skills (Ego Supportive Language, Active-Participative Listening, Self-recognition/Self-disclosure, Empathy, and I-language) 4. Communication barriers 5. Interpersonal communication conflicts and conflict resolution styles 6. Communication in the triangle of School, Family, Child 7. Communication in the Educational Process
