Course Objective This course is aimed at teaching the characteristics of an early childhood teacher, development and learning characteristics of children, types of preschool education institutions and basic components of quality in an early childhood setting, early childhood education around the world the prospective teacher candidates.
Course Content Definition and principles of early childhood; basic ideas and historical development of early childhood education; early childhood education in Turkey and the world; developmental characteristics and needs of the child, characteristics of a preschool teacher, types of preschool education institutions (kindergarten, nursery etc.), physical, social and educational environment characteristics, preschool activities, the role of the family in early childhood education and its importance.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
