Course Objective Aim of This course is to inform students about poetry as a literary genre, and to introduce French poetry from past to today by giving examples chosen from different centuries and various poets, in the framework of literary movements which directs poetry
Course Content The content of this course is composed of various poems et poets chosen from different centuries and the literary movements which directs poetry.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Students should acquire a certain level of poetic taste .
2The Student should know the characteristics of poetry as a genre
3Student should know the basic concepts and terms related to poetry.
4Students should be able to know the arts poetics
5Student should know figure, metaphor, the use of metaphor, comparison, image.
6Student should talk about the form and content of a poem which his read.
7Student should write and talk about 5th - 14th and 15th century French lyric poetry.
8Student should know the poetry group called « Pléiade »
9Student should write and talk about the Classic Poetry
