COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective To teach about the modernization stages of Turkish Literature, to teach how new genres entered our literature, to determine the role of newspapers in this way by giving the development of prose in our literature. To obtain general information about the novel; is to learn to analyze novels on examples.
Course Content Features of the Tanzimat period; Journalism in the Tanzimat period; Changing genres (story, novel and drama); Examples of literary works of the Tanzimat period. General characteristics of Servet-i Fünun literature; the social and cultural environment of the period; humor, satire and literary criticism; organization representatives and their dispersal; language and stylistic features of the period, poets and examples of poetry. The social, cultural and political environment of the period.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Establishes relationships between various disciplines and sub-fields that the field is related to; Uses undergraduate knowledge to analyze, synthesize and evaluate new and complex ideas and reach original results.
2Learns the development line of the new Turkish literature and the new features it has gained through intellectual and literary movements; In the light of this information, he/she will be able to analyze the literary products specific to New Turkish literature and evaluate the researches in the field of New Turkish Literature and define the problems in research.
3They can apply their knowledge about the field of New Turkish Literature to scientific studies about the field. Evaluates the researches in the field of New Turkish Literature, defines the problems in the researches.
4Examines and evaluates the national and international literature related to her field.
5It acquires the basic principles of the discipline and enriches its academic knowledge and experience.
