Course Objective Development of children's literature in the world, in Turkey and in the Turkish world. Examining the features (design, content and educational) that should be found in children's literature works with examples. Demonstrating unqualified children's books with examples and discussing their negative effects on children's developmental characteristics. Studies aimed at determining the suitability of the books that students read and examine for children according to their age groups and which development they will contribute to. Determining the contribution of various literary genres (epic, fairy tale, poem, story, novel, etc.) and linguistic tools (counting, rhyme, riddle, etc.) to children's development.
Course Content Development of children's literature in the world, in Turkey and in the Turkish world . The importance of meeting qualified children's books in childhood and the function of children's literature in raising thinking and sensitive individuals who have acquired a reading culture. Examining the features (design, content and educational) that should be found in children's literature works with examples. Demonstrating unqualified children's books with examples and discussing their negative effects on children's developmental characteristics. Studies aimed at determining the suitability of the books that students read and examine for children according to their age groups and which development they will contribute to. Determining the contribution of various literary genres (epic, fairy tale, poem, story, novel, etc.) and linguistic tools (counting, rhyme, riddle, etc.) to children's development. Turkish world children's literature. Turkish world children's literature. The place of children's literature in the oral and written literature of peoples outside of Turkey, especially in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, its prominent representatives and examples from their works.

1Explains basic, theoretical and applied information about child development.
2Uses basic theoretical and applied knowledge, basic computer programs and related technologies related to the field.
3Gaining the ability to compose and analyze, criticize and interpret the information given in the field of children's literature in the world of knowledge and thought.
4Gaining the ability to recognize scientific methods in the field of children's literature, to make compilation studies and to examine them.
5Deepening the knowledge in the field of children's literature and acquiring the knowledge and equipment skills to carry out applied studies.
6Recognizing other disciplines in the field of Turkish Language and Literature and gaining the ability to look holistically by making comparative studies and analyzes with Turkish World Literature.
7Gaining the ability to bring cultural elements nationally and universally, to prepare them for new and current productions, with the knowledge gained in the field of science.
8Gaining the ability to convey the acquired knowledge in an easy and understandable way verbally and in writing.
