Course Objective
To provide permanent and sustainable conservation within the framework of the conservation regulations for mosaics found in historical areas and/or uncovered during archaeological excavations.
Course Content
Preventive and active conservation measures are taken concerning mosaic pavements found in historical areas and/or uncovered during archaeological excavations. In order to make the studies in a healthy way, the necessary methods and applications are determined in the planning stage, preparation of the budget related to the studies, supply of materials, employee supply, process, work environment and conditions are prepared. Documentation, diagnosis, analysis, cleaning, conservation, completion, transportation practices applied in the conservation and exhibition of Mosaic pavements are carried out in Turkey and around the world. Besides conservation and exhibiting the mosaics on site, the stages of transportation and Exhibition in the museum environment are explained in detail.
