Examination of mosaics used in archaeological and historical buildings in terms of construction technique, material properties and deteriorations.
Course Content
The aim of this course is to provide the students with an understanding of the construction techniques and material properties of the mosaics used in the decoration of the floor, wall and ceiling of the archaeological and historical buildings and to examine the factors that cause deterioration in mosaics and the types of deterioration that occur.
