Course Objective Biomimicry (or biomimetics), design inspired by or imitating nature; It is an approach that produces solutions for human problems and needs. This discipline includes not only the concrete product or solution obtained, but also the system and the whole stages used.
Course Content The approach called biomimesis or biomimicry covers scientific studies carried out to adapt the information obtained as a result of these researches to the fields of architecture and engineering by examining organisms such as plants, animals and insects that have developed and become the best in nature over millions of years.

1To be able to generate ideas about what kind of inspiration nature can give us in sustainability studies.
2To have knowledge about technological devices inspired by nature.
3Biomimetic design, on the other hand, is easily solving design problems by using biology resources.
4To have knowledge about the programs and technological developments used in biomimetic designs.
