Course Objective To introduce biotic and abiotic factors causing disease in plants, to explain the symptoms, causes, and formation mechanisms of these diseases, to provide information about plant protection and disease management.
Course Content The concept of plant diseases, the history and development of phytopathology, the economic importance of plant diseases, the identification of disease in plants, non-parasitic plant diseases, eukaryotic plant pathogens, prokaryotic plant pathogens, plant viruses, pathogenesis, host-pathogen-plant relationships, disease symptoms, disease management, common plant diseases in Turkey.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
