Course Objective This course aims to give information about the biomonitor and bioindicator organisms used in determining the pollution level and the determination of the quality of the environment by using biotic indexes.
Course Content What is biomonitoring and bioindicator species? Organisms used as biomonitoring and bioindicator species and their characteristics. The changes in the biomass of biomonitoring and bioindicator organisms depending on the environmental factors. Determining the environmental quality using these organisms. Scientific studies about biomonitoring and bioindicator organisms. Accumulation levels of pollutants in these organisms and protecting public health through the monitoring of these levels.
