Course Objective In the course the students should be able to define biosensors as analytical devices incorporating a biological material integrated within a physicochemical transducer, or transducing microsystem, which may be optical, electrochemical, thermometric, piezoelectric or magnetic. In addition the students will learn where and which purposes the biosensors can be used.
Course Content Basic principles of biosensors, classifications, properties and characteristics of biosensors, preparation of biosensor; combinations of bioactive layer and transducers, performance factors, applications of biosensors, the recent developments of biosensors technologies.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
