Course Objective This course aims to give an understanding the structure and function of biological membranes, to foster the Exchange of information at an international level on the development and application of membranes for the benefit of all and to provide training in research.
Course Content Introduction to biological membranes and membrane systems; General properties, structure and dynamics of membranes; Bacterial and plant cell walls; membrane metabolism and function; Transport systems; Membrane carriers, channels and pumps; Receptors and signaling systems; Membrane physiology.
