Course Objective Sociology and the Turks thought, perception of Turkish society, Mehmet Izzet and point of view, feudalism and ATÜT discussions,sociology and politics, intellectuals and the sociology, the problems of Turkish society, Ziya Gokalp and New Ottomans, Western andcomments from the underdevelopment - the peasantry and so on.Understanding of the economic structure and independence, NATOand foreign capital, lines of Westernization, modernization effortsand discussions
Course Content Sociology and Turkish thought, to grasp of process of Turkish thought and the perspectives of Turkish intellectuals and eveluation of these Turkish intellectuals,feodalism, ATUT, Ziya Gökalp, Otoman, West and different perspectives, development and underdevelopment, ekonomic structure, comprehension of freedom and economic system, the process of Turkish westernized and modernisation, NATO

1Defines the processes that determine the development of sociology in Turkey-affecting.
2Shaping the ongoing political process to date from Empire to Republic of sociology and social transformations comments
3Sociological analytics of social problems or comments concerning the facts
4Analyze the relationship between sociology and politics
5 Classifies the variation to the theoretical level of sociological approaches and methods in Turkey.
6Synthesizes the historical coordinates of sociological thought in Turkey
7Specific social-historical conditions and the relationship between the production of sociological knowledge synthesis
8Epistemic institutions that determine the coordinates of sociology in Turkey, the actors, the social-cultural structures and synthesis of the organic relationship between them
