Course Objective The aim of the course is to examine people's contact with other people and the process by which societies create leisure institutions to participate in cultural exchange and entertainment.
Course Content The course discusses four main problem areas: (a) tourist-motivations, attitudes, reactions and roles; (b) the relationships and perceptions of tourists and local people; (c) the structure of the tourism system; and (d) the socioeconomic and sociocultural impact of tourism.
