Course Objective Measures to be taken against natural disasters and the importance of spatial planning in the region contributed to this analysis of Turkey's disaster situations.
Course Content Disaster varieties, natural (earthquakes, floods, landslides, volcanoes, lightning, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.), human (war, sudden migration, refugees, etc.) and technological disasters (ozone depletion, nuclear accidents, acid rain, atmospheric warming, etc.) formation and their distribution; principles of disaster management and disaster related institutions and organizations; Geographic Information Science of the principles to be applied to disaster management; Geographic Information System-based disaster management planning presentation.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
