Course Objective The aim of course is teaching first living areas of Ottomans and their arts there, to give information about political and cultural structure of Anatolia and cultural environment regarding the other principalities of Anatolia.
Course Content To examine the first living places of Ottomans, their works of art there and cultural environment.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Will be able to recognize the source of early examples of Ottoman art and their main character.
2Will be able to explain the architectural features of Ottomans from establishment of the Ottoman Empire to second half of the fourteen century.
3Will be able to define the plan features and their examples of Early Ottoman Single-Domed Mosques.
4Will be able to have detailed information about reverse T-shaped buildings and their examples of early Ottoman period.

Topics
WeeksTopics
1 The concept of art will be discussed. The pre-established civilizations of the Ottoman Turks and the establishment of the Ottoman principality will be explained. The sultanete periods of Ottoman rules and the borders of the Ottoman State will be emphasized. When examining some of the terms we use the art and described in the Ottoman period will be explained.
2 The general features of the first centers in the principality of the Ottoman administration will be explained. Ertugrul Gazi and Osman Bey, the period begins to emerge here, and will focus on structuring the original architecture and art.
3 Iznik-Hadji Uzbek and Hadji Hamza mosques closed with a single dome with the inverted T-shaped Orhan Mosque will be introduced.
4 The introducing of Iznik-Hadji Uzbek and Hadji Hamza mosques closed with a single dome, with the inverted T-shaped Orhan Mosque will be continued.
5 Orhan Gazi in Bursa and Gebze built structures will be examined and their places of early Otoman art will be discussed.
6 Bursa-Alaeddin Mosque and Madrasa of Lala Şahin Pasha and Lala Şahin Paşa Mausoleum Kirmastı will be introduced.
7 Kyrgyz Tomb of Iznik, Amir İnn in Bursa and Mihal Beg İnn in Gölpazarı will be introduced and their contributions of the Early Ottoman Art will be emphasized.
8 The plans and photograps of the first period of Ottoman structures will be repeated.
9 Brief history of the period of Murad I and Hüdavendigâr Complex in Bursa will be introduced.
10 Mid Term
11 Bursa, Behramkale and Filibe mosques built by Sultan Murad and their places of the Early Otoman Art will be explained.
12 Brief history of Yıdırım Bayezid era, Mudurnu and Bergama Mosques by Bayezid (Pergamum) and Issız İnn will be presented.
13 Yıldırım Complex by built Yıldırım Bayezid with The Yıldırım Mosque İn Edirne will be explained.
14 The Great Mosque in Bursa comparison to other multi-supported structures will be done. However, the general assesment of the Ottoman structures built until beginning of XV. century will be done.
