Course Objective The aim of course is examining the architectural atmosphere, buildings and styles before the Republican period in Turkey.
Course Content The changes starting with the Ottoman Tanzimat edict and reflections of modern institutions came with these changes in the architecture will be explained.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Will be able to understand the architectural atmosphere before the Republican period.
2Will be able to have information about Ottoman architecture after 1839.
3Will be able to examine the buildings from1839 to 1923.
4Will be able to have information about the contemporary European architects under Ottoman service, their works and the cultural enviroment.
5Will be able to define and date the building of Pre-Republican period.
6Will be able to know and evaluate the architectural styles of Pre-Rebuplican period.
