Course Objective The aim of course is examining the concept of Turkish civil architecture, the regional variations and differences, ornamentation and design in Anatolian House.
Course Content Starting with the first examples of Central Asia, home and human relation, Pre-Anatolian Türkish houses, Houses in İslam world, a point view of houses in Anatolia before Turks, the factors that constitute the Turkish houses will be discussed.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Will be able to have information about Turkish civil architecture and related terms and techniques.
2Will be able to know the examples of Turkish civil architecture before Anatolia.Different shelter components such as Tent and Lump Home, and their place in cultural history.
3Will be able to understand the Local Anatolian cultural heritage and its influences on Turkish civil architecture.
4Will be able to define and understand the plan types and the examples of Turkish House.
5Will be able to have information about the concept of Turkish Room and its frontal features and design.
6Will be able to understand the ornamentation (wood, metal, hand-drawn etc.) and their application places on Turkish House.
