3 | Will be able to define the commercial buildins such as çarşı (market), bedesten and arasta and the buildings for the funerals such as turbe, kumbet (a large tomb with a dome-shaped or conical roof), hazire (special cemetery) and compare their architectural features and the spread pattern in the regions.

7 | Will be able to define the terms of Turkish civil architecture such as cumba (alcove), hayat, sofa (tisch) and the terms of the religous architecture such as son cemaat yeri, mihrab, narthex, harim, tackapı (portal), minbar etc. Will be able to describe and compare the plan types in the religious architecture of Islam and Christianity with the drawings. |
