Course Objective The aim of the course is study, evaluate and examine some of the main poetry movements like Beş Hececiler, Yedi Meşaleciler, Garipçiler, II.Yeni in Turkish poetry throughout the twentieth century.
Course Content Turkish poetry, from the beginning of the twentieth century to today, the main groups, and trends. Memleket poetry, Garip movement, II. Yeni movement and etc. Mayor poets like M.Akif, Y.Kemal, C.Sıtkı, O.Veli, S.Karakoç and their Works
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

1After 1908 the major trend in Turkish poetry, and groupings, understand with their reasons
2After 1908 the major trend in Turkish poetry and learn to discern the differences and similarities between the groupings.
3Understands the causes of the dynamics of literary change.
4Recognizes the contributions of Turkish poetry poets of the period.
5Develops the ability to analyze poems by different poets.
6can see the similarities and differences between texts that belong to poet or the literary schools
7Gain a sense of self-confidence on the text analysis.
