Course Objective In this course, it is aimed to explain the political, social and cultural place and importance of the Turkish Principalities established in Anatolia in Turkish and World history.
Course Content The political, social etc. reasons behind the foundation of Principalities in Anatolia; general features of Principalities, Their founders’ origins, regions, social and economic structures, and their domestic and international policy. Their social and cultural position among Principalities of same period.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Have information about the basic sources on the history of Anatolian principalities.
2Understands the political, social and cultural situation of Anatolia in the 11-12th century.
3Have information about the political, social and cultural history of the principalities established in Anatolia.
4Understands the political and social process in Anatolia during the transition from the Turkish Seljuks to the Ottoman Empire.
5Understands the role played by Anatolian principalities in the course of Turkish-Islamic history and their political and social effects.
