Course Objective Giving comprehensive input about the formation stages of the Earth, Creation of the Mankind, Foundation of the early civilizations, the interactions between the civilizations and Middle-East civilizations. .
Course Content The aim of this course is to teach students historical background of ancient times. The historical documents of antiquity and available sources are focused on and from the material remains, it is possible to learn much about the former civilizations. Students are aimed to learn about the ancient history from the written documents, which are the mental products of these civilizations. To understand how ancient societies developed, the available documents and sources are evaluated. The course program covers Anatolian, Mesopotamian, Egypt and Roman history. .
