Course Objective The aim of this course is to teach the precautions that can be taken to reduce the damage caused by the geological-geomorphological, climatic-meteorological and biological origin of natural disasters.
Course Content Types of disasters include the formation of natural (earthquake, flood, landslide, volcanoes, lightning, typhoon, hose), human (such as war, sudden migration movements, refugees) and technological disasters (ozone depletion, nuclear accidents, acid rains, and their distributions. Disaster management principles and disaster related institutions and organizations; Application of Geographical Information Science principles to disaster management; Geographic Information System based disaster management planning presentation.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
