Course Objective The aim of this course to understand both topographically and archaeologically the geography of ancient Anatolia based on regions, to recognize regional cultural features and geography of Anatolia, to understand social and political structure of regions. The objective of the course to know important cities and structures of Pisidia, Pamphylia, Lydia, Phrygia, Galatia, Cilicia, Paphlagonia regions.
Course Content The historical perspective of Anatolia, the regional characteristics which exist from Prehistoric Eras to the end of the Antique Eras will be generally discussed, and ancient geographical regions of Anatolia will be explained.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1To be able to recognize geographical borders of Anatolian cities and regions from prehistory to the end of Roman period
2To be able to evaluate topographically and archaeologically ancient geography of Anatolia according to regions
3To examine regional and cultural features of Ancient Anatolian populations and the ethnicities of peoples
4To be able to have ideas about Anatolian geography, social and political characteristics of the regions
5To be able to present the results of a research orally and written
6To investigate and evaluate the main cities and buildings of Pisidia, Pamphylia, Lydia, Phrygia, Galatia, Cilicia, Paphlagonia
