Course Objective The purpose of this course is to gain a general perspective about the Prehistory of Anatolia from the Chalcolithic Age to the Early Bronze Age
Course Content The Early, Middle and Late Chalcolithic Periods of Anatolia form the content of the course. The transformation of small settlements into the centers/cities and the social and economic changes in this process are discussed. The settlement pattern, mining and appearance of mining technology, pottery and features of the other material culture seen in Anatolia during these ages, are introduced

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
2To have an opinion about the appearance and development of the Chalcolithic cultures of Anatolia
3To make cultural and chronological definitions of Anatolia’s Chalcolithic Age
4To discuss the centralization and urbanization processes of Eastern and Southeastern Anatolian Regions of Turkey with the comparison of Mesopotamia
5To associate the relation of Central Anatolian Region with Balkans over the definitions of migration, origin and common cultural region
6To define the relation between Western Anatolia and Eastern Aegean Islands within the consideration of pottery similarities during the Chalcolithic Age
7To define the metal tools and mining technology, settlements and architecture and pottery seen during the Chalcolithic Age of Anatolia
8To comprehend the relation between the Chalcolithic Age and Early Bronze Age in Anatolia
