Course Objective The purpose of this course is to gain a general perspective about the Prehistory of Anatolia from the Paleolithic Age to the Chalcolithic Age
Course Content Paleolithic, Epipaleolithic and Neolithic Ages of Anatolia form the content of the course. The transition to settled life and agriculture from hunting and gathering is discussed. The settlement pattern, stone tools and lithic technologies, pottery and features of the other material culture seen during these ages, are introduced

2To explain the geography and climate of Anatolia and how they changed during the Prehistoric ages
3To have an opinion about the appearance and development of the Paleolithic, Epipaleolithic and Neolithic cultures of Anatolia
4To make cultural and chronological definitions of the Paleolithic, Epipaleolithic and Neolithic Ages of Anatolia
5To define stole tools and lithic technologies, settlements and architecture and pottery seen during the Paleolithic, Epipaleolithic and Neolithic Ages of Anatolia
6To compare the Paleolithic, Epipaleolithic and Neolithic Ages of Anatolia chronologically and culturally with the contemporary cultural regions
7To comprehend the alteration of the material culture in terms of way of life and subsistence during the Paleolithic, Epipaleolithic and Neolithic Ages of Anatolia
