Course Objective Provide information to the Adbilim as an interdisciplinary field. Review of studies related to the world and in Turkey about toponymy and anthroponymy. Determination of changes in procedures of name giving suffered from past to present.
Course Content Onomastics: naming, history of onomastics, its sources, development period. Boundaries of onomastics. Sub-categories of onomastics: toponymy, anthroponymy and other fields.
