Course Objective Teaches the Turks’ Understanding and application of law in stages of the Islam Tanzimat and the Republic developments. (?)
Course Content This course covers subjects such as the legal system in the Turkish states and societies of pre-Islamic period, Islam and the changing patterns of Turkish legal system, Turkish-Islamic law, the process of westernization in Turkish-Islamic legal system, the sened-i ittifak, the Tanzimat Edict, the Reform Edict of 1856, the first and second constitutional period, the Constitution, the changes in the Turkish legal system in Republic Period.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
