Course Objective The aim of this course is to lecture on the political, social and cultural importance of Turkish states (founded) in Egypt, in Turkish and World history.
Course Content The aim of this course is to teach students the history of the Turkish States in Egypt, the systems of Gulam and Mamluks, the first Turkish States founded in Egypt, Tolunogullari and Ihsidit States, Turkish Mamluks in the Ayyubids times, foundation and growth of Mamluk State and its relations with Moghols, crusaders and other states, their financial and social structures.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1To analyse geographical, political, social and economic factors providing the establishment of Tolunogullari and Ihsidies.
2To compare Ihsidies and the state of Tolunogullari from the aspect of administrative structure, culture and history of civilisation and identify and evaluate the importance of them in the history of Egypt.
3To teach Crusades and its activities in the Middle East and analyse the results of the expeditions in the region.
4To evaluate the Ayyubid in the place of the Turkish, Islamic and world history teach and examine the history of political and civilizations of them.
5To evaluate the political and social developments providing the establishment of Mamluk Empire and to examine the political structure of the state.
6To know evaluate the location of the Mamluk Empire in the Turkish and world history.
