COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective Ceramic production and terminology is introduced and the development of ceramic art, regional variations, styles will be discussed. Paleolithic, Neolithic, Chalcolithic, Bronze, Assyrian trading colonies, Hittite, Phrygian, Lydian, Urartian, Crete, Mycenaean, Greek, Roman, Byzantine ceramics, production techniques, forms, approaches, and about the characteristics of the Seljuk, Ottoman and Modern Turkish The art of ceramics and ceramic artists and provide basic information about the world of ceramic art.
Course Content Minoan and Mycenaean civilizations, ceramic art, Proto and Geometric Period will be informed about the ceramic arts. BC 7 At the end of the century, and then started the production of black-figure technique, the resulting red-figure technique, stylistic development, production centers and vase painters will be explained by examples. BC 6 As a result of the economic and political changes occurring in the late century and until the Hellenistic Period in the ceramic style properties, development, production centers will be discussed. Common in the Roman period covers the production and use will be explained with the emergence and development of Terra Sigillatalar'ın
