Course Objective To explain the characteristics of mining, its position in Turkey's economy, the status of mining in Turkey and in the world from past to nowadays, the mining terms, definitions of mining applications, the responsibilities of a mining technician. In addition, the vocational courses during the education and important topics which can be encouraged in the trainee's are explained.
Course Content Definition of mining and its role in economy, history and future of mining in Turkey and World, definitions related to mining, definition related to mining, duties and working areas of mining technicians and engineers, phases of mining, evidences in mine exploration, researches in ore deposit, underground and surface operations in mining, underground support elements, surface facilities, safety regulations, important points in summer practices and summer practice program.
