General Information

Biomedical Engineering is a branch of engineering that develops the tools, devices and systems necessary to understand the structures, working patterns and interactions of biological systems and components of the human body, which is a highly organized, complex system.


Objective

is to raise biomedical engineers: Who are able to understand the physiology and biology of living things and to apply their knowledge of science and engineering to the solution of problems where biology and engineering meet, Who have the ability to comprehend and interpret data obtained by measuring on live systems, Who have the ability to use and develop computer technology and software effectively, Who are prone to teamwork, capable of doing research, and capable of using the necessary information technologies for effective communication and who possess entrepreneurial skills, Who are able to follow closely the developments in the field, to adopt continuous learning as a principle, to be aware of ethical rules, to use their knowledge in the activities such as production, R&D, maintenance, and repair, and to produce solutions to the problems they encounter.
