FOOD ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

General Information

Food engineering department was founded in 04.07.1994 within Pamukkale University Engineering Faculty and started undergraduate education in 1995. In the department there are two major disciplines; Food Science and Food Technology. These major disciplines include Food Microbiolgy, Food Quality Control, Unit Operations, Milk Technology, Meat Technology, Cereal Technology, Fruit and Vegetable Technology, Fat and Oil technology and Biotechnology subdisciplines. In this department there is dual education.


Objective

The objectives of Food Engineering education are to give basic knowledge to the students in the field of food engineering, to improve their technical and academic capabilities in professional ethics for the employment in food industry, and to adopt the students for the necessity of life-long professional development and learning.
