General Information

Denizli Female Teacher School, which constitutes the origin of our faculty, was established in 1957s. The School, which was named as Denizli College of Education in 1982, later on was conjoined to University of Dokuz Eylül Buca Faculty of Education with 2547 law of Higher Education.Following the establishment of Pamukkale Univeristy with Law No. 3837 dated July 3, 1992; went into action with the Department of Primary School Teaching as Pamukkale University Faculty of Education on November 10, 1992.Following the establishment of Pamukkale Univeristy with Law No. 3837 dated July 3, 1992; went into action with the Department of Primary School Teaching as Pamukkale University Faculty of Education on November 10, 1992.In 1993 Department of Pre-School Teaching, in 1994 Department of History Teaching, Department of Turkish Language and Literature Teaching, Department of Art and Crafts Teaching, in 1995 Department of Music Teaching, in 1996 Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching, in 1997 Department of Science Teaching, in 2002 Department of Educational Sciences Programme of Psychological Counseling and Guidance, in 2007 Department of Special Education were opened and thus Faculty of Education was able to give education and training with eight departments. Faculty of Education in February 2008, moved to its 5-storey modern building situated in Kınıklı Campus with 22.000 m2 indoor space. The faculty serves with its projection and computer equipped classrooms, five computer laboratories, one internet room, as well as with science, physics and chemistry laboratories equipped with the latest techniques, one drama hall and one reading and studying hall. By 2018-2019 Academic Year, 4508 students continue their educations in our faculty. In our faculty in total 185 academic staff are employed whose titles’ can be aligned as 28 Professor, 26 Associate Professor, 62 Assistant Professor, 34 Lecturer and 35 Research Assistant.


Objective

Our Faculty assumes an important mission of educating future teachers who have an unyielding belief in laic, democratic society under the light of Atatürk’s principles and revolutions.
