The course is designed to explore the effects of the government activities. At the conclusion of this course the student will be able to analyze the role of the government in a mixed economy, evaluate the effects of government programs on the incentives of work, saving and risk-taking.
Course Content
Tools of Normative Analysis, Market Failures, Efficient Provision of Public Goods, Externalities, Political Economy- Explaining Government Growth, Tax-Transfer Systems and Income Redistribution, Personal and Corporate Income Taxation in Turkey.
