Course Objective The main purpose of the course is to enable students to create a theoretical basis for their studies on journalism and news reporting.
Course Content Within the scope of this course, journalism and news theories within mainstream and critical approaches will be examined. Normative theories that discuss journalism within a theoretical framework and news theories such as gatekeeping, agenda setting, news discourse and framing theory that examine journalism will be discussed.
