Course Objective Students taking this course will learn basic histological and cytological preparation techniques, application principles and points to be considered in practice; knows and learns the types of light and electron microscopes, their operating principles and the points to be considered in their use.
Course Content Tissue processing for light microscopy I; Tissue processing for light microscopy II; Cytological preparation I; Cytological preparation II; Histochemical techniques; Immunohistochemistry; Tissue processing and preparation for transmission electron microscopy; Tissue processing and preparation for scanning electron microscopy; Microtome types and their use I; Microtome types and their use II; Light microscope types, parts and their use I; Light microscope types, parts and their use II; Transmission electron microscopy; Scanning electron microscopy.
