Course Objective To educate engineers who knows world specific standards and manufacturing techniques for species in seed activities and be capable of take-more advanced techniques.
Course Content The content of this course; It covers the importance of plant breeding, reproduction, variation, mutation, changes in the number of chromosomes in plants, mechanisms regulating fertilization, cell and tissue culture, plant gene resources, conservation of plant gene resources, variety development, breeding methods of self and foreign pollinated plants.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

1To explain the concept of plant breeding;
2To explain the biology of fertilization in plants and to apply the opportunities for manipulation;
3To take advantage of incompatibility system;
4To apply the use of male sterility techniques in plant breeding;
5To use appropriate methods to develop new plant varieties in self-pollinated crops;
6To use appropriate methods to develop new plant varieties in cross-pollinated crops;
7Conduct studies of mutation;
8To explain the improvement of the new varieties by using gene technology ;
