Course Objective	The aim of this course is to teach the basic principles about the agricultural importance of mushrooms and mushroom production techniques.
Course Content	History, economic importance, place in human nutrition, classification, morphological characteristics, environmental requirements, mushroom production facilities, cultivation systems, cultivation technique, disease and pest control, harvesting and evaluation.
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Knows the general situation of the mushroom sector in the world and in Turkey.
2	Knows what mushrooms are, their morphological characteristics and their place in our lives.
3	Knows compost production techniques and cultivation conditions.
4	Knows the importance of hygiene in mushroom cultivation, diseases and pests of mushrooms.
