Course Objective The aim of this course is to provide students with information about the cultivation of subtropical fruits other than citrus fruits such as olives, tea, kiwi, persimmon, pomegranate.
Course Content Cultural history of tropical and subtropical fruit species that have not yet been cultivated in Anatolia or have been newly introduced to our country, such as banana, black cherry, hawthorn, hawthorn, cranberry, palm, pineapple, mango, persimmon, papaya, pitaya, avocado, guava, kiwi, pomelo, ficus indica, kumquat, star fruit, dragon fruit, fejio, systematics, effects on human health, ecological requirements, morphology, fertilization biology, rootstocks, physiology, cultivation techniques, pruning requirements, harvesting practices, preservation of fruits, sale to domestic and foreign markets.
