Course Objective The aim of the course is to teach apple, pear, quince, persimmon cultivation and production of pome fruit species grown in Turkey.
Course Content In this course, in which apple and pear are in the first degree, quince, hawthorn and medlar are in the second degree, culture history, systematics, summer, autumn and winter varieties, morphology, physiology, fertilization biology, ecological requirements of the species, Cultivation regions in Turkey, cultivation techniques (propagation, rootstocks) nursery, grafting, shaping trees, special pruning techniques, dense planting in dwarf seedlings, harvesting, yield, production and export issues are examined.

Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

1Learns the cultural history and development of pome fruit species. learns production, export and import values.
